BEHAVIOURAL CODE OF CONDUCT

To ensure the safe well-being of all of our students, we require students to conduct themselves in an appropriate way at all times during their time at The Academy.  Students will be required to read, understand and agree to the rules of the Student Behavioural Contract, as listed below, prior to acceptance into our programs. They must acknowledge that if they break any of these rules, it may result in their expulsion from The Academy course, and termination of any accommodation (if provided).

  • I understand that these rules and guidelines are in effect during The Academy. I agree to follow these rules and conduct myself appropriately at all times.
  • I will respect all premises and property belonging to Liberty College, my accommodation provider (if applicable), The Academy and any other student/parent/guest at all times.
  • I will demonstrate courtesy and respect for my fellow students, the staff, guest speakers and to any Liberty College or accommodation provider staff.
  • I acknowledge any antisocial behaviour, including but not limited to, sexual harassment, intimidation, violence, discrimination, racism or bullying of other students, either in person, via social media or text, will not be tolerated.
  • There is to be no smoking and/or vaping/e-cigarettes, and no consumption of alcohol or illegal substances on the Liberty College campus (smoking/vaping is permitted in the carpark).
  • During teaching hours, The Academy is an alcohol, smoke and drug-free zone and I acknowledge that consumption of illegal substances of any kind is completely prohibited and may get me excluded from the course.
  • Weapons of any kind are prohibited at The Academy, at any Academy-related activities and on Liberty College campus.
  • I understand that I will have access to my mobile phone but will refrain from using it during lectures or mentoring sessions unless permission is granted by the group leaders/staff, or in the case of an emergency.
  • I agree to uphold academic integrity at all times. I will not engage in plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty.
  • I agree to respect the academic policies and guidelines outlined by the group leaders/staff at all times.
